Abstract

BARBOSA, Carlos Soares  and  MADEIRA, Filipe Cavalcanti. CURRICULUM PRIVATIZATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP: AN ANALYSIS OF FULL-TIME HIGH SCHOOL IN THE STATE NETWORK OF RIO DE JANEIRO. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2023, vol.32, n.70, pp.175-196.  Epub Aug 29, 2023. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2023.v32.n70.p175-196.

The objective of this text is to reflect on the business reform and the privatization process of the curriculum, through its institutes and foundations, which takes place within the State Department of Education of Rio de Janeiro (Seeduc-RJ). It is documentary research, theoretically and methodologically grounded in historical and dialectical materialism, which constituted the Full-time Education Program of the State of Rio de Janeiro as an empirical corpus, based on the specificity of Full-Time High School with Emphasis on Applied Entrepreneurship to World of Work. The results indicate that the network served as a “laboratory” for the current High School reform (Law nº 13.415/2017), given the links between the instituted curricular organization and the curricular arrangements developed in the network, under the strong influence of the Ayrton Senna Institute, in addition to to signal the implicit purposes of stimulating entrepreneurship in the current phase of the flexible accumulation regime and the real meaning of entrepreneurship in the Brazilian historical specificity.

Keywords : high school; curriculum; privatization; entrepreneurship.
