Abstract

This systematic review aims to characterize integration in Brazilian Integrated Secondary Education (EMI), through the meta-synthesis of stricto sensu postgraduate research on the subject. The search for studies for analysis took place in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of Capes, between the months of July to September 2020, resulting in a set formed by 79 works, after having been verified the pertinence to the inclusion and exclusion criteria in 200 records. The results of this analysis elucidate integration as a perspective under construction, within the scope of the EMI offers contained in the selected studies. As a possibility, the integration affirmed in the studies confirms the scope of the desired emancipatory integral formation. However, it carries with it the contradiction of not moving away from the demands imposed by capital in the class struggle. It concludes, therefore, by the defense of integration as the path to transformation.
