This research aims to analyze and discuss the contributions of theses and dissertations on the teaching of Natural Sciences in the early years of Elementary Education (PE) in the space-time from 2009 to 2019. Considering the qualitative character of this study, it was adopted as methodological approach the State of Knowledge, in order to elucidate the research available in the CAPES Thesis and Dissertations Catalog. From the established descriptors, 55 works were selected, which were analyzed in accordance with Content Analysis and classified into 4 categories. The researches socialized in this study show a series of contributions to the teaching of Natural Sciences PE, as well as a consensus regarding its importance at this level of education, emphasizing the need to understand the development process of students, to provide subsidies for formalization and the systematization of scientific knowledge. Regarding the aspects related to the teaching of Natural Sciences in the early years of PE, the categories Teacher Training, Pedagogical Proposals, Theoretical Research, and Others were found, that present different researches that support the appreciation of this teaching at the beginning of the schooling process.
