The article analyzes postgraduate internationalization policies focusing on the Institutional Internationalization Program - CAPES-PrInt Program. Its assumptions are that the Program is a Capes induction strategy, in a context of fiscal adjustment policies and the approximation of some Brazilian universities to the concept of World Class University spread by the WTO and the World Bank. That’s an exploratory study in which the following procedures were carried out: a bibliographic review, an analysis of documents relevant to the creation of the Capes Print Program and data regarding the international mobility provided by the program between the years 2018 and 2022. The study concludes that the Print Program is highly selective, insofar as it benefits the most highly regarded Programs of the National Postgraduate System in the country, increasing regional asymmetries, not meeting, therefore, the demands for internationalization of Brazilian postgraduate courses as a whole.
