The article discusses relations between ethics and education, focusing on three principal issues: ethics as a media phenomenon, ethics and the crisis of modem reason, and the role of education in the building up of new normative systems which can overcome the ethics of not-evil (according to Alain Badiou), based on the principles of no-transgression. The author also intends to show that nowadays, in order to validate ethical norms, the argumentative reason (which seeks audience adhesion) is more effective than communicative reason (which seeks consensus).
