The article intends to raise issues about teachers' work in the first years of elementary education. It’s starting point is the inclusion of gender as a theoretical category that alters concepts and processes frequently used in the analysis of his work, such as the proletariat issue, professionalism and qualification. It analyzes in a special way the fatter, using studies about other types of work which are socially identified as feminine.
