Resumo

ANPED. ANPEd's assessment about the document National Curriculum Referential for Early Childhood Education. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 1998, n.07, pp.89-96. ISSN 1413-2478.

The assessment includes a critical appreciation of the preliminary version of the child education curriculum directives document, drawn up by a staff hired by the Ministry of Education. It is based an the discussions held by ANPEd's Work Group on Early Childhood Education and individual assessments made by researchers who participate in this Work Group. The assessment points out the principal aspects that led the Group's position to converge and also indicates the areas where the researchers who work in this fie/d took different stands. It also discusses some structural aspects of the curriculum proposal such as organizing activities by age groups, the concept of child development and the concept of curriculum, as well as formal problems presented by the document. The scope of the text did not permit a detailed comment on subject matter issues. The assessment only points out some specific problems detected by the different analysts.
