The text points out the principal axes that guide the new law on education (LDB): Directives and Bases for Education. The approval of this law signifies a great change in the legal order of national education, especially because of the presence of flexibility and evaluation. Analyzing the more evident points of this presence, the objective of the text is to point out the changes, possible consequences and question if all change necessarily means innovation.
