Abstract

SPOSITO, Marília Pontes. Hypotheses on the relations among social movements, youth and education. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2000, n.13, pp.73-94. ISSN 1413-2478.

The article examines the relations between social movements, youth and education with an appraisal of the main themes that have been associated with research about social movements. On outlining the scope of the subject researched, it points out the relevance of the issue, aspects that have not as yet been studied and the importance of bringing the youth theme into this field of study. By situating youth as a probable actor in contemporary society's conflicts, the text outlines some coordinates that could correlate modern forms of how they manifest themselves: cultural production, especially music; information and communication; voluntary work and forms of cooperative work.
