Revolutionary organizations may act as schools to social movements. Also places with a tradition of protest may do the same. We possibly learn something with the lessons of the past. The defense of rights does the training of potential militants ... Learning to struggle is an apprenticeship transmitted within historical movements. This is what we are going to analyze in this article, starting with the insurrectional movements that look· place in Minas Gerais in the 18th century.
