Abstract

COSTA, Raquel Lima Silva. NEUROSCIENCE AND LEARNING. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.28, e280010.  Epub Jan 18, 2023. ISSN 1809-449X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782022280010.

With a theoretical focus, this article presents notions of neuroscience, such as neuroplasticity and higher nervous functions (attention, memory, motivation, emotions, and executive functions), establishing relationships between them and learning. Thus, based on literature review and synthesis of information, the main objective here is to articulate the contributions of neuroscience to pedagogical practices. In doing so, we intend to broaden reflections regarding promoting even more significant learning for students.

Keywords : neuroscience; education; neuroplasticity; higher nervous functions; meaningful learning.
