Abstract

CARVALHO, Maria Andresiele Andrade  and  MOURA, Diego Luz. ENTERING THE TEACHING CAREER: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.28, e280022.  Epub Feb 08, 2023. ISSN 1809-449X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782023280022.

This article aims to analyze the academic production on entering the teaching career from 2000 to 2018. The bases for the survey were the Scientific Electronic Library Online and the Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde. It is a systematic review research, of an exploratory nature. The results indicated three fundamental aspects: the construction of socialization actions and monitoring of the beginning teacher; initial and continuing training actions with greater approximation between the university and the school in order to dialogue with the demands of the school; and the creation of teacher training programs with insertion of the future teacher in the school environment. We conclude that the area has advanced in identifying the difficulties and desires of teachers, but little progress has been made in creating and analyzing the effects of objective actions carried out directly with beginners.

Keywords : professional development; beginning teachers; reality check; socialization; training.
