Resumen

BELMONTE, Maria Luisa; FERNANDEZ, Noelia  y  MIRETE, Ana Belén. TALES FOR INCLUSION AND CHANGING ATTITUDES TOWARDS DIVERSITY. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.28, e280027.  Epub 14-Feb-2023. ISSN 1809-449X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782023280027.

The present reality in the educational horizon still continues perpetrated by situations of non-inclusion for students with functional diversity. The story is presented as a very suitable psychotherapeutic tool for working with emotions. Through the story, different social situations are better perceived where there are still barriers and prejudices towards different groups with disabilities. This work confirms an experience with 52 students, with a quasi-experimental design with pretest, posttest, and control group, which bases its treatment on the use of stories. The VADA instrument was completed before treatment and after three months. In light of the results, it is concluded that, although at early ages the attitudes towards diversity do not present great prejudices, the story is an optimal resource for its improvement. In this sense, the design of projects focused on stories is a step forward in the construction of a more inclusive school and society.

Palabras clave : story; functional diversity; attitudes; inclusion.
