Abstract
BARBOZA, Georgete de Moura and MOTTA, Flávia Miller Naethe. What can Bakhtin say about babies: life in a nursery from the perspective of the philosophy of language. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2024, vol.29, e290080. Epub Oct 03, 2024. ISSN 1809-449X. https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782024290080.
This article discusses the action of babies in a context of a collective life. In the light of the Bakhtinian philosophy of language, we sought to understand the entry of the human subject in the universe of language, in addition to the private spaces where very young children tend to be. The research was carried out in a public nursery in a municipality in the state of Rio de Janeiro. As a methodology, collation was used because when we compare a text with others, we partially recover the infinite chain of statements to which it responds, which it opposes, as well as any agreements or disagreements. It is a movement to meet the voices present in the text for a deeper understanding of them. Two field events and their understanding are presented, and we conclude with the need for adults to put themselves in a dialogue with the babies, as the latter overcome their elementary psychic condition towards more advanced forms through humanizing relationships, and only other human beings can humanize them.
