Abstract

NOVAIS, Valéria Silva de Moraes  and  AKKARI, Abdeljalil. The educational policies for youth and adult education in Brazil on the perspective for 2030 agenda: arguments for a dialogue. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2024, vol.29, e290090.  Epub Oct 03, 2024. ISSN 1809-449X.  https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782024290090.

This paper discusses the links between national and supranational policies for youth and adult education (YAE) on the international agenda, especially the 2030 Agenda, through the Sustainable Development Goals — SDG, highlighting some reverberations for the approval of educational legislation that occurred from 2015 to 2022. This study is theoretical and critical, having as its objective to identify the existent intersections between the educational legislation destined for YAE and SDG-4 (goals 4.4 and 4.6). For this purpose, the exploratory documentary approach was chosen, and documents of the 2030 Agenda and of law No. 13.005/2014 were analyzed. The results point to an alignment with the global agenda for education and the resolutions and decrees approved during the period analyzed, which as a whole emphasize the focus on technical and professional education, and a minimalist conception of youth and adult literacy education.
