The close codification of the academic area of education sciences, in its inscription and relationship with work contexts, within the scope of teacher training, makes the possibility of professional practice in other contexts challenging, despite the transversal nature of this knowledge. This article, based on a study carried out with graduates in this area that have been inserted in the world of work for a period of seven years or more, seeks to build ideal types that characterize the relations that their professional trajectories maintain with their academic education, seeking to elucidate the paths that the subjects are effectively capable of building. The data analysis allows us to infer that, for a considerable number of the interviewed graduates, employability in education, although challenging, is verified. However, this professionalization's distinct modes and times give the concept of trajectory the relevance of the proposed analysis.
