BRUNETTO, Dayana e MORESCO, Marcielly Cristina. From student occupations to militarized schools: Displacements of meaning and reorganization of power. Rev. Bras. Educ. [online]. 2025, vol.30, e300085. Epub 13-Out-2025. ISSN 1809-449X. https://doi.org/10.1590/s1413-24782025300085.
From a cartography of the school occupation movements and of civic-military school manuals in Paraná, this article investigates power effects manufactured by discursive elements that touch on corporeality, questions of gender, race and sexuality. The reflections, based on Foucault's concepts of pastoral, disciplinary and sovereign power, emphasize and compare shifts in the configurations of schools occupied by students in 2016 with a possible reorganization of these powers in schools, now militarized. This text discusses the discursive approximation between the MEC program and the anti-feminist, anti-gender, moralizing and neoconservative political agenda of the Partyless School (Escola Sem Partido — ESP) movement, which supports the conception of the factoid "gender ideology". The analyses point to disciplinary and pastoral norms of conduct based on a military pedagogy that controls bodies and desires.
