Abstract

This text resumes the Special Education determinations expressed in the General Law of National Education (Law nº 9.394/96, LDB), in the National Plan of Education proposed by the government to the Congress (PNE/MEC) and in the National Plan of Education - Brazilian Society Proposal (PNE/PSB, II National Congress of Education, II CONED, Belo Horizonte/MG, nov.,9, of 1997). Analyses the several approaches about this subject in these documents and presents considerations aiming to support the discutions respecting this important kind of education.
