Abstract

FONTES, Rejane de Souza. The hospital class and the inclusion of the sick child in the regular class. Rev. bras. educ. espec. [online]. 2002, vol.08, n.01, pp.45-54. ISSN 1413-6538.

This study intended to implant a hospital class at the Paediatries Ward in Antônio Pedro University Hospital, with the purpose of verifying the incidence of special educational necessities beareres, knowing the school claim of interned children and achieving their psychopedagogical attendance. The methodology used was the Research in Action. We discovered that there is a reduced number of people with deficiency, but children and adolescents in the hospital showed special educational necessities, it means school delays because of the lost of contents and distance of the school and of sociability because of internment. Through application of Piaget, Freinet and Wallon’s ideas, we intended to attend physical, cognitive, affective, social and educational claim of the childish and youthful clientele interned there and reflected about their (re)inclusion at regular class.
