This paper is the result of detailed analysis of data obtained through a questionnaire sent to the hospitals based on educational provisions in Brazil. The aim of the study was to characterize the aspects of implantation and implementation of this type of education as related to the institutional support received, the service and the professionals’ administrative situation, the clientele, the work dynamics and the available physical space and resources. The results show differences as related to the ways this type of educational provision has been implanted and implemented all over the country. This points to the necessity of a joined effort to guarantee qualified educational offer to the hospitalized children because it is a right they all have.
