Abstract

MANZINI, Eduardo José. Analysis of articles from the special education brazilian journal (1992-2002). Rev. bras. educ. espec. [online]. 2003, vol.09, n.01, pp.13-24. ISSN 1413-6538.

This paper analyses 95 articles published in the Special Education Brazilian Journal from 1992 to 2002. It was analyzed only research reports, scientific assays, revision of literature, reports of experience and statements. It was not considered news, reproduction of official documents and abridgment. The results indicate that there is a concentration of subjects in education/teaching and integration/inclusion. The least quoted subjects were: accessibility, ethic, history of Special Education and analysis of program and production in post-graduation courses. The more researched deficiency category was 38 articles (generic category) and 30 articles (mental retardation). It was also analyzed the impact of the journal production on itself and it was found that only in one issue of the journal there was no citation of articles published in previous ones. The average of citations was 2, 1 articles each issue.
