The Brazilian Association of Researchers in Special Education is a civil society, of private right, without lucrative ends and has for purposes: to congregate researchers of the area of Special Education and kindred sciences; to promote and to support the technical improvement through the consultantship to specialized centers, universities and public organs and to give support to scientific publications. In this sense, ABPEE is responsible for the editorial business, publication and distribution of the Brazilian Journal of Special Education, fruit of the need of doing to circulate information of scientific character in Special Education.
