Abstract

This article intends to bring to reflection linked aspects to the deaf child's learning, discussing the influence of the communicative lines that act in the education of deaf population on their cognitive processing of the reading and writing. For this are focused the cognitive strategies used by bilingual and moralist deaf population, work proposals with these children's literacy that maintain the cognition respect in their construction, and confront with legal aspects to the LIBRAS recognition. Through these aspects this article intents to contribute in discussions about deaf’s education, to contemplate difference of approaches in their education, without losing of respect to their communicative choice and cognitive strategies of reading and writing construction.
