The present study aimed to gather reflections from teachers of Physical Education about the educational assistance given to students from special classes in educational inclusive environments. An action-research was carried out involving 13 Physical Education teachers in the teaching system of Londrina, Parana State. It was elaborated from the discussions accomplished by the study/work Group about the Organization of Inclusive Learning Environment by the Physical Education teachers’ reflexive practice. Fortnightly meetings, held during 2002 and 2003, were recorded in cassette tapes and later transcribed for the analysis. Physical Education for special classes, taught by the subjects of the research, were registered in VHS tapes. These procedures made possible the context of the discussions and the situations experienced by each of the study subjects. The data raised point out a contradiction in the participation of the Physical Education curricular component concerning the offer of educational assistance to students of special classes, as these students are “included” in this and not in all the curricular components. The improvement of this assistance has to consider the amplification and depth of the debate regarding the schooling process of students with special educational needs. This debate may search the coherence between propositions and actions related to the role and to the performance of the special classes in education environments based on the perspective of inclusion. This study points out the importance of valuing the teachers’ daily reflexive action as a possible source for outdoing the contradictions experienced in our educational system.
