This article analyses the results of an investigation made in Aracaju public schools with teachers who are dealing with mental deficient students. The participants (15) were asked about how they deal with sexual education and sexual manifestation of their students from special or inclusive classes taking into consideration the teacher’s formation and their class routine. The results show lack of preparation by the teachers since the reactions are evasive and have no methodological patterns. It is concluded that there is an urgent need of an appropriate preparation to compensate the lacks in the teachers’ academic formation to deal with that subject.
