Abstract

HARLOS, Franco Ezequiel; DENARI, Fátima Elisabeth  and  ORLANDO, Rosimeire Maria. Analysis of the organizational and conceptual structure of Brazilian special education (2008-2013). Rev. bras. educ. espec. [online]. 2014, vol.20, n.4, pp.497-512. ISSN 1413-6538.  https://doi.org//10.1590/S1413-65382014000400003.

In this paper, we aimed to uncover and analyze the organizational and conceptual structure of Brazilian Special Education, as it is configured by documents published from January 2008 to April 2013 that guide its public policies. We applied documentary research and thematic categorical analysis to perform the compilation and analysis of thirty documents presented by the Ministry of Education as guides for national policies on inclusive Special Education. The analysis of the organizational and conceptual structure of Special Education revealed the perpetuation of traditional contradictions of discourse associated with Special Education.

Keywords : Special Education; Educational Policy; Inclusive Education.
