Collaborative interprofessional work can be a key factor in increasing the efectiveness of care ofered to children with autism spectrum disorder. Tus, this study aimed to analyze publications focusing on interprofessional collaboration in the care of children with autism spectrum disorder. An integrative review was carried out including studies originating from the following databases: Virtual Health Library/Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information (VHL/BIREME), PubMed, Scopus, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE-OVID), Embase, Web of Science and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), from 2016 to 2021. Te 375 publications were hosted on the Rayyan platform and evaluated in double blind. Te PRISMA fowchart was used. Te results of the eight studies included show that the implementation of collaborative practices, organizational system and policy formulation contribute to the formation of efective models of interventions in cases of autism. Te studies demonstrated the need for research in the area of Education; adherence of those responsible during treatment; and improvement in communication and integration between school and family. Te analyzes showed that professionals need specific training in order to understand interprofessional work as a dynamic process in which different professions must work in an integrated way to identify demands, build intervention plans and (re)know the roles and responsibilities of team professionals.
