GONCALVES, Adriana Garcia  e  BARONE, Beatriz Vieira. COLLABORATIVE PLANNING IN THE HOSPITAL CLASS: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS OF THE HOSPITAL FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN. Rev. bras. educ. espec. [online]. 2023, vol.29, e0053.  Epub 17-Out-2023. ISSN 1980-5470.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1980-54702023v29e0053.

This research aimed to verify if the collaborative planning of an intervention pedagogical plan developed between two researchers and a Hospital Class teacher influences the construction and reconstruction of the hospital’s social representation from the perspective of the hospitalized children. It is a qualitative, descriptive and collaborative research. Three children between 7 and 11 years old participated, who were hospitalized for at least two days and who had never had access to the Hospital Class service. Furthermore, the main participant of the study was a teacher of the hospital class of a University Hospital. The collaborative planning of the pedagogical intervention plan took place through five meetings on the Google Meet platform. Through the “Drawing-Story” technique adopted as a resource in the pedagogical intervention plan, it was found that initially children have negative social representations about the hospital. However, after the development of the teaching practices of the hospital class teacher, the participants change their perceptions about this space. It is concluded that collaborative planning was extremely important for the construction of pedagogical practices that positively influenced the social representation of the hospital for hospitalized children.
