This study aimed to investigate the public policies that subsidized the curriculum for the initial education of Physical Education teachers at the Faculty of Human Motricity of the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, focusing on the analysis of the curriculum matrix and the teaching, research, and extension projects in the inclusive context. For that, a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive investigation was conducted. The results show that the investigated institution has advanced in the articulation of teaching, research, and extension from an inclusive perspective, enabling the exchange of experiences and knowledge among students. However, Portugal has moved away from public policies for teacher education in the inclusive context, especially with the arrival of the Bologna Process.
