OLIVEIRA, Jessica de; FINATTO, Mariele  e  SCHMIDT, Carlo. PARENTS IMPLEMENTED INTERVENTION AND AUTISM: NATIONAL STUDIES REVIEW. Rev. bras. educ. espec. [online]. 2025, vol.31, e0133.  Epub 26-Jun-2025. ISSN 1980-5470.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1980-54702025v31e0133.

The Parent-Implemented Intervention (PII) shows positive evidence with autistic children. However, to achieve practical results similar to those described in the research, it is important to consider its fidelity, that is, the extent to which the implementation followed the steps of the original plan. The aim of this study was, therefore, to analyze the characteristics of research on PII with people with autism in the Brazilian context. Through a systematic review, studies were coded according to participant characteristics, setting, designs, dependent and independent variables, measures of implementation and intervention fidelity, parent training components, social validity, and overall study results. The results showed that, although most studies used intra-subject experimental designs, only a small portion reported implementation fidelity or intervention fidelity. Thus, this text discusses the characteristics of these studies in relation to the quality and rigor of research on PII in Brazil.
