The need to adapt schools and educational materials to effectively include students with visual impairment, emphasizing the importance of specific didactic resources and effective teaching methods that promote the active participation of all students, highlights the relevance of editorial design, which focuses on the production of printed and digital content, organizing materials and choosing typographies to ensure comfort and readability, meeting the needs of the visually impaired audience. In this study, a systematic bibliographic review on the development and use of inclusive didactic materials for people with visual impairment was conducted. The study, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, sought to understand the state of the art in Brazil in the last five years, in addition to identifying opportunities for future research in the Design area.
