While analyzing the institutional evaluation, this article questions the mistakes which lie in our ideas and our acts, related to the university, to the institutional evaluation and to the nature of the public as well It points out the importance of the evaluation for both the present and the future of the academical institutional, its presuppositions and implications, limits and possibilities.
