Abstract

DAVOK, Delsi Fries  and  RISTOFF, Dilvo I.. Mudanças e resistências na construção da cultura da avaliação institucional. Avaliação (Campinas) [online]. 2000, vol.05, n.03, pp.27-36. ISSN 1414-4077.

The purpose of this study is to verify to what extent it is possible to say that changes of behavior have occurred among teachers and students at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) as a result of the evaluation process, especially with reference to the data collected through the teacher's self-evaluation questionnaire (AD) and the questionnaire through which teachers were evaluated by their students (ADD).Results indicate (1) that since its implementation in 1994, despite the general tendency of constant positive evaluation, many variables show a decrease in the decree of expressed student and teacher satisfaction; (2) that the existing evaluation culture is still fragile; (3) that students and teachers demand that results be communicated more often and used to support decisions aimed at improving the teaching-learning process; (4) that the data generated by students and teachers reveal that both groups at times have different understandings about the same issues; and (5) that there is a need to re-evaluate the AD and ADD projects.

Keywords : Institutional Evaluation; UFSC's Institutional Evaluation Program (PAIUFSC); Teachers Self-Evaluation; Teachers Evaluation by Students; Evaluation Culture.
