Abstract

The article analyses the development of PAIUB in eleven Public Brazilian Universities in the south and southeast regions, referring to its institutional involment, configuration that it assumes, its internal repercussion and referencial concepts. The information, which was got through interviews with the program coordinators and available documents, we us conclude that it is configured as oriented to pattern and quantitative shapes of evaluation and reduced repercussion grade in the institutional structures. It also comes to the conclusion that, considering the reports, a more explicit analytic and integrated mythology of the data is required. It considers que the central commissions of evaluation are through a difficult phase, due to the lack of the support of the university rectors, who think that it is a MEC strategy and also to the program emptiness towards the official evaluation methodology. But the belief in the PAIUB potential, and the passion they have for it, makes its way to its construction.
