Abstract

The analysis of the problems that derive from changes in higher in Latin America is an imperative issue. In this paper the author takes some of the main topics, policies and propositions around the New University Reform. The objective is to promote the debate related to a gradual transformation in the universities of the region, that can surpass the narrow framework of the market and the neoliberal conceptions, to build alternatives focusing on the transfer and production of knowledge, the redefinition of its objectives and functions, from the standpoint of a logic of structural innovation.
