Both at the national and international levels, the necessity of essays of assessment of Science and Technology in academic groups and institutions is broadly recognized. This paper presents results from a large project which aims to apply such principle to Unicamp's Group of Public Health and Physical Activity. The data here presented are based on the theses and dissertations prepared within the Group, especially on aspects related to authors and examiners. The research indicates that Master's theses predominate over Doctoral dissertations (60.00%), including candidates that earned their degrees from public (44.00%) or private (44.00%) institutions. Most of these got their degrees in Physical] Education (60%), work in public higher education (48%), and work as employees (96%). It is considered that such information, although basic, raises questions which are worth discussing.
