The paper is a contribution to the debate about the Brazilian Ministry of Education's national undergraduate program evaluation exam (Provão). Its intention is to show that the grades published by the Ministry of Education, instead of showing the quality of undergraduate programs, hide it and distort it. For the purpose of the present research the scores' s limits used to evaluate the various programs since 1999 were used. When grade limits of one course were juxtaposed with those of other courses, significant discrepancies regarding performance were perceived.
