This paper has three sections. The first section revises the way in which an approach to a new object (engineering schools with various careers) has led us to propose a new response to the tension between the institutional perspective and those of the academic programs, taking into account, during the accreditation process, the interaction between academic units and the different programs they offer and which must be evaluated. The second section analyses the ordering of the standards set in order to endow evaluation with organization standards which create a hierarchy between different aspects, relating inputs, practices and results. The final section expounds the conclusions arrived at with the objective of aggregating to the results which are generally considered a specific indicator in which we may observe the results of the learning process.
