Abstract

The article discusses the implementation of the institutional evaluation project of Universidade Estácio de Sá, begun in 1997, with the following objectives: (a) integrate qualitative and quantitative aspects; (b) operationalize forms of active participation; and (c) implement gradually its various phases in order to make adjustments and improvements possible. The article reports the work done by the evaluation committees and describes the methodological procedures utilized in the evaluation process.
