Resumen

This paper intends to unchain reflections concerning the importance of the development of competences as one of the privileged strategies in higher education evaluation, especially in the Brazilian Exam of Students Performance - ENADE - in the context of the Brazilian System of Higher Education Evaluation - SINAES. The focus of the article detaches the construction of the subjectivity, the development of psychological functions and the professional formation  mediated by evaluative processes, in the contexts of academic teaching and learning. It is evidenced that mobilizing competences through more complex development and learning ways presents some challenges, especially as for systemization of that process and as for her evaluation. As contribution, at the end of the text come evaluative potentialities and possibilities of competences and their influences to the psychological development of the subjects and of their path of academic professional formation.
