Abstract

This article presents an analytical strategy to the consideration of the Mercosur system of Accreditation of Undergraduate Degrees and Careers, considering it as a result of a construction and which, therefore, should address its pre-existing conditions, the determination of its major actors, synthesizing and interpreting the continuum which progressively consolidates it as analytical reality, to conc1ude with some sociopolitical considerations connected to its strengths and weaknesses. In the same manner, references are made to conceptual, analytical and procedural gains, which find no equivalent in the sub region· s history on in the history of Latin America as a whole, to immediately explore some operative possibilities and or complement of the way of making feasible a set of accreditation procedures which are valid and efficient for most of our countries.
