TERRIBILI FILHO, Armando  y  RAPHAEL, Hélia Sônia. Late arrivals and absence of higher education night shift students: skipping classes, tests and the impact on learning and evaluations. Avaliação (Campinas) [online]. 2005, vol.10, n.02, pp.117-135. ISSN 1414-4077.

Research carried out in October 2004, with 166 night shift private school undergraduate students in the city of São Paulo shows the daily difficulties faced by students (especially working students) with aspects related to matters related to the educational environment: transport, traffic, public safety, food, impact on his psycho-physical condition and on the teaching-learning process, caused by late arrivals, skipping of classes and tests. It aimed also at identifying aspects considered most relevant to obtain a good performance on tests, whose results were: "having paid attention in class" and "having studied for the exam", showing that instruments of evaluation do not always measure learning ("having learned the proposed content" carne in third place). "Feeling well physically" was pointed out as the most relevant among the items not related to the classroom situation, having strong relation to the educational environment.

Palabras clave : Night Shift Higher Education; Educational Environment; Student Commuting; Student Performance; Evaluation.
