Abstract

The coordinator of the undergraduate program, a member of the university management process, represents the articulating agent between the institutional pedagogical project and the undergraduate program. Previous researches on the evaluation practices at the University of Passo Fundo have identified the need of deepening the interaction and the involvement of the coordinators of the undergraduate programs with the Division of Institutional Evaluation. Based on the question of how the processes, practices and instruments of evaluation existent in the institution are perceived and which are the actions that result from their development, an applied research was made using a qualitative approach and focus groups with the coordinators of the undergraduate programs in office in 2004. This study points out important reflections obtained by the focus on five categories of analysis.
