This study aims to understand the profile of Brazilian teachers regarding the use of technological resources, specifically computer as part of their investigations. To elect the subjects, it was decided to inquire from the questionnaires, a representative group of researchers in the field of Education related to graduate programs at Masters level and Ph.D. from different Higher Education Institutions, referenced by the Ministry of Education of Brazil as excellent programs. The basis of the quantitative analysis was based approach in a study of exploratory from the multiplicities of the dimensions of content present in the positions and ideas of the subjects studied. As a guide the methodological procedures sought in the literature and epistemological bases about principles and technological processes, from a historical context, as well as official documents for political reasons. As main results, we could identify concentrations of masters and doctoral programs in Education, excellence, in southeastern Brazil; presence of new professors in the program time and age; strong correlation between the age of the surveyed teachers with the training period at the undergraduate level, with reduced level of uncommitted master and doctoral-level correlation; use of electronic databases by the absolute majority of teachers surveyed, and software within their research, making use of (qualitative and quantitative) joint research with the support of computer resources.
