Abstract:

This article presents a study on the possibilities of institutional assessment in higher education through monitoring of alumni. Therefore, in addition to a review of contextual demands, regulatory and theoretical, the article presents an empirical research conducted at the Centro Universitário Católica de Quixadá. The research used quantitative and sampling method for collecting data from the 1,074 students coming from ten undergraduate courses. The research investigated four categories of analysis: socioeconomic profile, professional effectiveness, evaluation of the course and relationship with the institution. Such categories result in different types of indicators of context, resources, products and processes, whose analyzes provide elements to support the improvement of evaluation, planning and educational institution's quality.
