SILVA, Layonize Felix Correia da  and  BERTO PUCCA, Manuela. Scientific and technological productivity of Federal University of Roraima professors. Avaliação (Campinas) [online]. 2022, vol.27, n.2, pp.388-408. ISSN 1982-5765.  https://doi.org/10.1590/s1414-40772022000200010.

The mapping of the scientific and technological production of university professors is essential to understand the dynamics that involves intellectual production, both for researchers, university and society, in addition to being a requirement for recommendation and evaluation of postgraduate and graduate degrees. This article mapped and analyzed the scientific and technological production of Higher Education professors at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR), from 2015 to 2020. This is a quantitative descriptive study, consisting of data related to scientific (articles, books, book chapters) and technology production (Intellectual Property assets) of 595 curriculum available on the Lattes Platform. This study provides, in a theoretical and empirical way, to the presentation and evolution of the scientific and technological production of UFRR professors, where 3756 productions were identified in the six-year period. Despite the increasing production, the discrepancy between the quantitative of scientific production (n= 99.7%) and technological production (n= 0.3%) stands out. In the qualitative aspect, a low number of productions was identified in the upper stratum of Qualis journals, despite the 167% growth in articles published in Qualis A1 journals. This study demonstrates the importance of performing the analysis of the scientific production of the institutions aiming a strategic and innovative planning in order to improve and encourage the professors’ scientific and technological productivity.
