This article deals with evasion in public higher education after the Program to Support Restructuring and Expansion Plans at Federal Universities. A documental analysis was carried out regarding the students entering the courses between 2010 and 2013 and a questionnaire was applied with 52 participants. The research concluded that the average evasion rate of the two courses was 48%, this rate is similar to the average of UFPEL licensure courses, but it is higher than the national average of Physical Education courses (38%), being the main cause for evasion the difficulty in reconciling work and study.
