Abstract

We attempt to show the necessity of overcoming the point of view the of common understanding about the learning processes as being equated and solved exclusively from a cognitive perspective. We make language our basic foundation. We dress a picture of analogies from the connection Mathematics Education and Psychoanalysis of Lacanian standpoint. Here the learning experience is thought as a process of disruptions ell1erging in the student’s stammering, far beyond the mere mathematical "error" and involving s/he enlightenment about attachment to schemes and contents face to face with the institutional demand. We retake a case published in a Mathematics Education periodical and briefly discuss it under the viewpoint of the analogies that we are developing. We finally make some considerations about the limitations of both the present stage of comprehension of conceptual change, and the learning process from the Piagetian perspective.
