The selective colIect in the UNESP - Bauru, wants to discriminate of recycle/non-recycle material. The present work had as objective to characterize all the material deposited at the recipients of selective collect. For this purpose gauging of the total material mass and for each kind of isolated material mass measured for calculating the gravimetric composition. Results showed that the white paper represents the main percentage of the deposited material, followed by the kind magazine and journal plastic. cardboard. glass, reject, aluminiun, isopor and PET plastic. Moreover, the participation or the target public was intense although an appealing and continuous campaign is necessary to increase the colIected material in terms of quantity and quality.
