This paper tries to show the legal regulations included in the new law and guidelines of the Brazilian Educational System (LDB), in order to identify, to understand and to evaluate the meanings of its proposals to adopt pertinent postures. It contains remarks  which can contribute to study and to reflect on the formation of basic education teachers programs course.
